The Construction Superintendent will be at a job site during crew work hours each day to assist team needs and inspecting work. Ability and willingness to perform trade work at times if needed and oversee work at projects. This individual must be ambitious and possess a competent/cooperative demeanor as a representative of the Company. The role reports to the Supervisor and Project Manager to make sure work is being done safely, adequately, and efficiently. We are looking for someone who could take on the role of superintendent while having reliable knowledge in "bags on" experience.
Responsibilities
The Superintendent has skilled construction knowledge in trades, the ability to inspect work for defects, and ability to read Blueprints. Be able to train employees to correct defects. Communicate well with Supervisor and Project Manager on duties related to managing the job site and team members. Lead team meetings and safety meetings. Have good communication regarding performance of work

Bolco Construction is a regional construction company that is hiring for an ongoing project. We are looking for experienced tradesmen and remodelers to join our team. The project is at a multi-family property and experience with multi-family construction is desirable.
Desirable Traits
Experience working in repair, remodel, modification, alteration, or construction of buildings and knowledge of safe construction practices including compliance with building, health and safety codes, and standards.
Experience working from plans, diagrams, blueprints, sketches, specifications, and work orders.
Ability to operate, use, and maintain a variety of equipment including saws, drills, grinders and various hand and power tools used in the trades.
Maintain service records, inspection records, and other documentation as needed.
Drive a vehicle to and from work sites, suppliers and contractors.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Maintain punctual and consistent attendance.
Meet schedules and timelines.
Ability to work safely and productively around residents.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Work cooperatively and collaboratively with other team members, co-workers, architects, vendors and suppliers, and other professionals when needed; work independently with limited direct supervision.
Maintain simple and concise field notes

Required Tools
Bolco Construction invests heavily in equipment for our projects and we expect our employees to invest in themselves by owning their own basic trade tools and equipment. Applicants should own their own trade tools and equipment or be willing to purchase them as needed during the first 30-days of employment.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Indoor and outdoor work environments; working in narrow crawl spaces, on ladders or scaffolding; working in or around dust, vapors and fumes, flying debris or nails; working around residents.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate hand and power tools; bending at the waist, kneeling, crouching, or reaching above the head to store, retrieve or affix materials; hearing and speaking to exchange information; seeing to perform skilled work and read blueprints, drawings or diagrams; lifting and carrying heavy equipment or materials
Physical capacity to lift 100 lbs., including lifting and moving tools and materials
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
