Our project designers are essential to our remodeling process, bridging the gap between homeowner and builder. The obligations run the gamut from interpreting the client's vision of their dream home to ensuring that the design is drawn and explained to the craftsmen who will construct it.

Directly responsible to the Lead Designer to assist and support the company and ensure that all company policies and procedures are implemented professionally. The Project Designer handles administrative and design responsibilities on a day-to-day basis. Maintain the company's image through face-to-face interaction with clients, Trade Partners, and Vendors.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for design support and consulting of remodel projects, assisting clients with a space plan and product selection, and closing the loop to sign the construction contract.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

Strong design and visualization skills

Collaborative and proactive communication and people management skills

Skilled with Microsoft Office, 20/20, Chief Architect

Able to prioritize tasks, work independently, and coordinate multiple schedules

Strong attention to detail and ability to self-assess your role's impact on the company.

Knowledgeable about residential construction and all of the products and processes involved.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead clients through the remodeling process until they agree with all the details.

Initiate the first design meeting with the client. Listen. Ask questions associated with the scope and budget. Measure and photograph the job site.

Discuss the design process and set client expectations for when to meet and how long it might take to get to the point of construction starting.

Design new space plans within provided software programs.

Coordinate meetings with vendors to attend with clients for product selection.

Assist clients with budget awareness while selecting products.

Create a product PowerPoint with pictures of all products on the Products List for Contract signing.

Maintain a professional image and demonstrate high integrity and confidentiality.

Maintain cheerful customer, employee, and public relations.

Credentials:

Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from an NKBA or CIDA-accredited institution

Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite

Willing to learn 20/20 and Chief Architect

Reliable transportation for showroom visits, in-home client consultations, and job site meetings
