FULL TIME - 40 HOURS PER WEEK
PART TIME - 30 HOURS PER WEEK
The position includes mandatory Saturdays.
Base Pay Rate: Starting @ $14.50 per hour w/ the ability to earn bonus/incentives/raises.
Employment is contingent on criminal background check.
JOB SUMMARY:
All employees are a vital part to the daily operation of Sunshine Acres Boutique and Donation Center Inc. They are often the first (or only) faces customers see and interact with as they shop in our stores, drop off their donations, or come pick up their purchased merchandise. Customer service skills and ability to multitask in a team environment are important to the success of daily customer satisfaction.
The following duties require a TEAM mindset, flexibility and professionalism. Employees are expected to be cross trained in each department and available to assist when needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Offload donations from donor’s vehicles and place them in bins.
2. Move K carts of product inbound and outbound for the sorters.
3. Receive and move all furniture indoors upon delivery by drivers or donors.
4. Load out customer’s furniture as needed throughout the day.
5. Assist in moving any furniture & fixture in the store as needed by the Assistant Retail Manager.
6. Assist with children’s home (Maintenance requests, Ponderosa house requests, etc.)
7. Keep the intake/sorting areas neat, clean, and organized for efficiency and safety.
8. Clean up Bell Tower space every morning upon arrival.
9. Dispose of all trash & metal in respective bins.
10. Palletize outdated furniture weekly to support retail team.
11. Load all cloth/misc. trailers with outbound merchandise.
12. Always keep walkie on to pivot with changing business needs.
13. Is able to daily perform any of the required job duties within the processing team. This includes all requirements related to accepting donations, presorting, and pricing merchandise.
14. As needed, welcome donors in a timely manner in a way that they feel confident that Sunshine Acres appreciates them and understands their value.
15. As needed, handle the receiving and donation process with the utmost respect and care including, greeting the donor, assisting in unloading donations, telling the Sunshine Acres story, repeating details back to donor and issuing a receipt.
16. Help maintain clean and well-organized reception, pre-sort, and processing areas.
17. Personal cell phone use is to be kept to an absolute minimum and must be done away from the processing floor.
18. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior retail, production, warehouse, material handling or customer service experience preferred
