MORNING SHIFT!
Job SCOPE:
Responsible for setting up and loading SMT feeders with components for the manufacturing of circuit boards.
Ensuring the correct components are prepared and loaded into the SMT machines accurately and timely, supporting efficient production operations.
Feeder Setup and Loading
Verify component part numbers and quantities before loading to avoid errors.
Load and unload tape, reel, and tray components onto SMT machine feeders.
Must be able to operate a computer and have an understanding of an Excel spreadsheet.
Material Handling:
Ensure proper handling of components to prevent damage or contamination.
Store and retrieve materials from designated areas, ensuring they are organized and accessible.
Track inventory levels of components and report shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
Equipment Maintenance
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of SMT feeders to ensure smooth operation.
Assist in identifying and troubleshooting feeder issues, including jams or misfeeds.
Support machine operators with feeder changes during production runs.
Quality Assurance:
Follow all quality control procedures, ensuring the correct components are loaded as per specifications.
Participate in quality checks to ensure the accuracy of loaded components.
Documentation and Reporting:
Record production and material usage data in logs or digital systems.
Communicate with team members and supervisors about production progress, issues, and material needs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
One-year previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment preferred.
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Must be able to lift and move materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
