Arizona, Phoenix, 85001 Phoenix USADescription We are offering an engaging opportunity in the Services industry, for the role of an Internal Audit Manager, based in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. In this role, your primary function would be to conduct extensive audits across a range of financial operations and processes. You would be focusing on examining finance policies, procedures, and controls, as well as playing a vital role in monitoring compliance, identifying potential risks, and suggesting improvements.Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive audits of financial operations and processes including purchasing card policies, check writing procedures, and bank reconciliations. Oversee and manage the external audit of the firm’s medical benefit plans. Coordinate the bi-annual financial statement review by third-party accounting firm and ensure the integrity of the firm’s related financial systems. Monitor compliance with finance policies and ensure accounting monthly checklist and manual journal entry compliance. Conduct internal control and review control audits, and identify risks of potential material misstatements in financial reports. Play a crucial role in risk management by developing and implementing internal audit plans and procedures, including risk assessments and controls. Recommend process improvement actions and create or enhance process documentation. Offer suggestions for cost control to support operational strategies. Monitor capital expenditure budget-to-actual performance and changes in GAAP accounting or federal and state tax laws or regulations. Use your skills in Accounting Software Systems, Audit Program, Business systems, Data Mining Techniques, Accounting Functions, Audit Committee, Auditing, and Audit Plans to carry out your duties effectively. Requirements Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the detail-oriented Services industry Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems for audit purposes Demonstrated ability to develop and implement an effective Audit Program Familiarity with various Business Systems and their functionalities Proven experience in using Data Mining Techniques for audit processes Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions and their implications on audit Experience in presenting findings and reports to an Audit Committee Ability to plan, execute, and manage Auditing processes effectively Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic Audit Plans Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
