Student Mechanical or Electrical Engineer Intern

We are seeking a Mechanical or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering intern for the Summer of 2025 to join our Facilities team in our office located in Juneau, Alaska!This hands-on design position is within RESPEC’s Infrastructure design group.  Our mechanical or electrical engineering interns will work alongside our firm’s full-time employees to learn how professional services are provided to our clients in the form of infrastructure design, construction document preparation, construction services, and site observations for facility and utility projects.  The primary responsibilities include supporting our mechanical and electrical engineering staff and field construction inspectors in support of design and construction projects.  Our experienced staff will provide mentoring and coaching to our interns to allow development of mechanical and electrical engineering skills and knowledge.  Interns will get exposed to our clients, job sites as well as collaborate with local architects and our RESPEC multi discipline team on public and private sector clients. Duties/Responsibilities:Assist design workPerform calculations and simulationsResearch topics as assignedAssist with field inspections
