NANA’s capable subsidiaries offer proven expertise, with thorough understanding of operating in the state’s most extreme environments.SummaryThe Recruiter will manage all activities as they relate to employee staffing; including sourcing and recruitment, interviewing, screening and testing of applicants, establishment of offers of employment, applicant records administration, data development and analysis, recruitment agency sourcing and management, and all related policies, procedures, practices and administration. Must adhere to compliance with relevant company policies and procedures, local, state, and federal regulations, and laws. This position will primarily be supporting staffing activities for NANA Management Services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Help develop a strategic recruiting plan based on company/division goals and business needs.

Work with managers to assess workforce needs for each business unit or division assigned.

Work to increase and support Shareholder hire.

Partner with Hiring Managers to develop marketing and advertising strategies to attract potential candidates.

Maintain a current job description library for assigned client group.

Post and maintains job requisitions for assigned client group, managing communication with associated applicants.

Identify and source candidates via job boards, internal database, social media, referrals, networking events, career fairs, college campuses, niche sites, etc.

Phone screen and conduct in-house interviews in detail about candidate’s background, skills, and experience relative to the position.

Recommend qualified candidates to hiring managers, facilitate interviews, execute job offers and initiate onboarding.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or a related field.

Four (4) years recruiting, staffing, business development or related experience required. Preferably in the service or retail industry. Must have experience filling non-exempt and exempt level positions.

Two (2) years of that experience must be recruiting, hiring and/or sourcing in a high-volume environment.

Must have at least (1) year working in an applicant tracking system (ATS), Taleo experience preferred.

Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time for Career Fairs.

Must have intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. (Candidates will be tested on competency level).

Knowledge of HR personnel practices and principles.

Working knowledge of all federal, state, and local labor laws.

Proven track record of implementing innovative strategies that efficiently deliver quality candidates.

Excellent planning, time management, and decision-making skills.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external associates.

Good oral and written communication skills.

A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NANA’s vehicle insurance policy.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Weather: Indoors - environmentally controlled; requires most or all work to be done inside. Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere. Description of environment: Office building with standard office environment. Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift. Travel: Up to 25% of the time.Employee may travel throughout Alaska and/or to remote locations and may be required to use alternative modes of transportation, including but not limited to snow machines, boats, small airplanes and ATVs. Travel to and from the worksite will be provided and arranged by NANA.Competencies
