NPosition Type ManagementJOB SUMMARYThe Global Development organization is responsible for driving the growth of Marriott’s brand portfolio through acquisition, new hotel development and conversions, and the effective portfolio management of Marriott’s real estate assets.As such, Marriott’s Global Development teams are charged with growing our portfolio of more than 32 hotel brands across both managed and franchised business models. The Development Marketing Client Services team supports these efforts through an integrated marketing strategy and sales support to drive awareness, generate leads and secure deals for our brands among the owner/developer community.The Manager of Development Marketing is an essential part of a team-based approach to meet the marketing, sales and analytical needs of the U.S. + Canada Development team. This role is responsible for working collaboratively with MSB and Midscale Developers to provide tactical support to help drive marketing initiatives and create value-added sales tools such as presentations and RFPs that facilitate Developer/ owner interactions. The role is the subject matter expert for the MSB and Midscale brands ensuring all materials are up to date and efforts are aligned. The Manager reports to the Senior Director, Development Marketing, Client Services.CANDIDATE PROFILE

2-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related major and 4 years experience in the sales, marketing, digital or related professional area; hospitality marketing or digital advertising experience preferred

OR

4-year bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related major; 2 year’s experience in the sales, marketing, digital or related professional area; hospitality marketing or digital advertising agency experience preferred.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Supports Development Marketing efforts to optimize Developer interactions with owners and other key influencers and drive awareness and understanding of Marriott’s development value proposition (Own the Future).

Excellent relationship development and management skills with both internal and external business partners.

Maintains and organizes all brand assets including a photo asset library across diverse project types, geographies and for each brand category (Luxury, Premium, Select, Midscale, Extended Stay).

Partners with the MSB and Midscale brand teams to align on strategy, update materials and collaborate on RFPs, presentations and other sales tools.

Develops high impact communications to deliver development marketing materials and updates to HQ senior leaders, continent teams, brand teams and other internal and external stakeholders. Must have strong powerpoint and desktop design skills.

Ensure that projects are completed in a high-quality and timely fashion, including management, tracking and implementation of an ongoing calendar of marketing deliverables.

Experience with project management and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with varying component, stakeholders and deadlines.

Manage data requests and be comfortable accessing, analyzing and utilizing key data (Power BI, FDDs, other reports), in support of brand case studies and sales tools.

Manage the Development Resource Center to ensure it is the central source of information and tools for Developers. Keep updated team files.

Contribute to internal Development eNewsletter (The Round Up) to keep Developers informed on new support tools, upcoming events and other updates and external eNewsletter (the Download).

Coordinate distribution and accessibility of Development materials (collateral, brand presentations) to Developers and other stakeholders via Box or other platforms

Monitor competitive marketing and research to stay apprised of business trends.

Experience championing ideas from ideation to execution.

Create and distribute monthly team reports.

Process and tracks invoices in a timely manner.

Provide input and assistance to other teams regarding projects.

California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $72,600.00 to $155,197.00 annually.Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $72,600.00 to $141,086.00 annually.Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $87,848.00 to $155,197.00 annually.New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $72,600.00 to $155,197.00 annually.Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $72,600.00 to $155,197.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus.
