Alabama Off Premise Sales Apprentice - Eastern ShoreJob DetailsJob LocationAL-Bessemer - Bessemer, AL DescriptionThe Off-Premise Sales Apprentice role is an entry-level position in our sales organization that allows an associate to prepare for a Sales Representative role at United. The position involves running vacation routes for Sales Representatives, performing sales deliveries to accounts, merchandising, and building displays in accounts, managing and rotating inventory in accounts, and building relationships with both accounts and various departments of United. This position is perfect for a self-motivated, competitive individual who thrives in situations requiring a high level of collaboration, organization, interpersonal skills, and creativity. Qualifications

Must be 21 years or older

High school or vocational school diploma or GED equivalent required

1-3 years of sales experience preferred

Valid driver’s license for applicable state

Valid auto liability insurance for applicable state

Ability to secure and maintain a State Alcohol Sales Permit in accordance with state laws


Work with sales team members to train and understand all facets of the United JohnsonBrothers sales representative role

Drive to all call points

Perform sales deliveries to accounts

Run vacation routes for sales representatives

Sell new products or programs

Utilize Encompass to bill orders

Build displays in accounts

Merchandise accounts using point-of-sale material

Work back stock, shelf space, and cold boxes in accounts to ensure product rotation

Build and maintain strong relationships with account management

Build and maintain strong relationships within United JohnsonBrothers with delivery associates, sales representatives, and sales management to work as a team

Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements and Essential Functions

Regular, reliable attendance required

Must work some weekends and extended hours as needed

Able to drive a vehicle for extended periods of time

Able to talk and hear, stand and walk, sit, reach with arms and hands, lift and carry, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel

Able to perform greater than average lifting up to 50-65 lbs, with some overhead lifting required

Able to frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch

Able to learn and maintain knowledge of company and products

Must have specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to judge distance
