BV is hiring a Sous Chef: who is interest in working at a new restaurant in a growing company. Must have a great attitude, be a team player, and maintain our existing high-quality standards. Ability to maintain a work station. Work 8+ hours on your feet. Show up everyday ready to work.
Bon Vivant is located in the historic McGillicuddy building on the corner of Ash and Lisbon. Bon Vivant is a new restaurant offering new American food crafted with French-fusion and French techniques, featuring local farmers and producers from the Lewiston-Auburn area and the State of Maine. Bon Vivant will offer a wine-heavy menu and classic cocktails, in a casual fine-dining, comfortable atmosphere. We pride ourselves on providing every customer with an exceptional experience, every time.
Preferred experience:
2+ year of culinary experience
college preferred (but not required)
Schedule: weekends and weekdays; full-time
Duties to include but not limited to:
Preparation of all ingredients for menu
Maintenance of work station before, during and after dinner service
Working on the line
General Cleaning
Assist the Chef with menu development of menu items
Help to maintain inventory
Supervision of kitchen staff, as needed
Responsible for managing the kitchen when Chef is away
Hiring timeline: ASAP
Expected wage rate: $22-30/hour
