Painter- residential and commercial construction

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform interior, exterior painting and staining according to plans and specifications

Complete smaller projects and touch-ups to ensure that paint matches and blends with the rest of the area

Use safety equipment and ventilators to ensure that everyone on the job is safe at all times

Protect nearby items or furnishing before and during every job, including outlet covers, landscaping, lighting fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, etc.

Practice self-motivation and motivating others, as there may not always be a supervisor on hand to direct you.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED certificate

At least 5 years experience in painting

Work with a variety of mediums required for the job

High attention to detail

Meticulous and diligent with a steady hand to ensure precision

Able to use common hand tools and power tools

Troubleshooting and communication skills

Physical stamina for lifting equipment and working at various heights and in tight spaces

Ability to positively communicate with team members, customers and project managers

Experience with spray equipment such as airless sprayers and HVLP
