Construction Manager

Falcon Motors designs and manufactures consumer, commercial and mass transit electric vehicles (“EVs”) as well as manufacturing and installation of universal DC fast charging (“DCFC”) stations and solar covered parking canopies. Falcon Motors is focused on the intelligent integration of proven clean energy technologies.

We are seeking a Construction Manager who is a relentless problem solver, works well in teams and enjoys a challenge to join our team at Falcon Motors.

This position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities include overseeing multiple projects at once. Serving as the representative at each worksite in dealings with subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and government inspectors. Ensuring compliance with all federal and state procedures, regulations, and codes. Presenting progress updates to appropriate management channels. Utilizing your experience and expertise to lead and grow your team and develop functional and efficient processes.

Detailed responsibilities include:

  • Plan, coordinate, budget, and supervise construction projects from start to finish
  • Manage and oversee work sites including coordinating activities and assuring that all disciplines directly involved in the project are aligned with the project goals and objectives
  • Oversee and provide direction to general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors ensuring quality standards are met and relationships with reliable contractors and vendors are being developed
  • Hire full-time and part-time subcontractors and laborers, coordinating their activities and schedules
  • Maintain and update statement of work and preconstruction documents and monitor contract obligations
  • Collaborate and serve as liaison to architects, engineers, and other specialists
  • Prepare and manage estimates, budgets, timetables, and resources
  • Adhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Effective technical and problem-solving skills, commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, analytical skills, and organizational skills
  • Proactive thinking, operational awareness, and safety guidelines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or commensurate experience
  • 5-7 years’ experience in construction management
  • Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts
  • Knowledge of building code requirements and jobsite safety practices
  • Prefer but not required Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • Prefer but not required heavy equipment operating experience including bulldozer, excavator, compactor, roller, tractor/trailers, etc.
  • Prefer but not required Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Associate Constructor (AC), and Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) designations
