Job Summary
The Business Faculty Coordinator is an administrative position for Northern Wyoming Community College District (NWCCD). This position will be responsible for administrative responsibilities and teaching courses in business including but not limited to: accounting, management, leadership, economics, marketing, and other related
courses. Other duties include collaboration with peers in curriculum review and development, advising and mentoring students, assessment of student learning activities, and other administrative duties as assigned. The coordinator will use innovative methodologies and educational technology in a variety of formats with an emphasis in online course delivery to facilitate student learning. The Coordinator will play an active role in growing the department programs with a focus on experiential learning.
An energetic, self-driven, innovative individual with industry and teaching experience is the ideal candidate. The ideal candidate will be considered for work at Sheridan College or a remote position working virtually.
Supervisory and Management Responsibility- Faculty Coordinator may be assigned to manage projects, people, or programs.
Reports To Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA) or Designee
Education/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications including education, experience, required licensures, certifications, and registrations:
- Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate units in Business, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management or other business-related areas acceptable.
- Teaching experience in a variety of delivery techniques and instructional delivery programs
- The equivalent of three years of work experience in business related to one or more of the following concentrations: Economics, Finance, Accounting, Management and Leadership, or Computer Information or Applications.
- Doctorate in Business, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Management.
- A minimum of five years of work experience in business related to one or more of the following concentrations: Economics, Finance, Accounting, Management and Leadership, or Computer Information or Applications.
- Diversified experience working with management, personnel, labor, advisory groups, and other groups.
- Some community college and online course development experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Commitment to student success and demonstrated ability to teach, supervise, and mentor students through their plan of study.
- Evidence of strong interpersonal communication and management skills topped off with experience dealing with student success.
- Demonstrated interest and ability to best utilize and incorporate educational technology.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Ability to work in a collaborative fashion with a variety of faculty and in an environment that values collegiality, and respectful and caring treatment of all.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population that represents a wide range of abilities and ages.
- Understand and abide by institution policies and procedures.
- Preparing and implementing lesson plans and activities and adjusting instruction to accommodate different student needs.
- The ability to work remote as required using technology or alternate means of instruction.
- Demonstrated understanding of the challenges to delivering educational opportunities remote or in a rural community college setting.
Faculty located at Sheridan College:
- Classroom and Office Setting.
- Maintain an on-campus presence outside of class for student office hours and administrative responsibilities as required during NWCCD business hours. Some evenings and weekends as scheduled.
- Personal internet and telephone connectivity, and computer hardware capable of utilizing Microsoft 365 Office Suite software applications (free download with “Sheridan.edu” email address).
- A professional “home office” environment for class, student, department phone or video meetings.
- A virtual presence outside of class for student office hours and administrative responsibilities as required during NWCCD business hours (Mountain-Standard Time). Some evenings and weekends as scheduled.

Experience
