Job Overview and Responsibilities

The Site HR Partner will deliver consistency and compliance through intimate connections to Solvay’s people, businesses, and functions at a local level. They are Human Resource generalists assigned to one or more sites by geography, and based on the number of employees and relative complexity of the site.

The Site HR Partner will support employees in Moments that Matter, partner with Site Leadership and Managers to advise on people topics (talent, organization, performance, development) and initiatives, have direct communication channel to Strategic Business Partners and support Global People Solutions project work on an as needed basis.

Other areas of responsibility will include administration of various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel in Wyoming and Colorado; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain the employee handbooks.

Assist with the compensation program for hourly and salaried employees; hourly bonus program; monitor performance review programs.

Support hiring managers in recruitment efforts for all salaried and hourly personnel; conduct new-hire orientation; monitor and assist in career-path programs; write job descriptions and post positions.

Coordinate drug and alcohol testing, background checks, maintains I-9 documentation.

Conducts employee relations coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions and exit interviews.

Perform benefits administration, including sick leave monitoring, and communicating benefits information to employees.

Maintain company organization charts and initiate internal moves.

Assist in creation and evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.

Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.

Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR-related role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related business field required
  • Experience in the administration of HR policies (performance management, compensation, benefits, etc.)
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, Google Docs/Sheets, Email, etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws
  • Experience and knowledge in handling employee relations
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.

Skills

Successful candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Interpersonal communication, interviewing and conflict resolution skills are essential.

Individual must have the ability to establish rapport and credibility with all levels of workforce.
