Job Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and administration for all of the Human Resources functions for our Cody, Wyoming facility, including but not limited to the following: employment, recruitment, employee relations, compensation/benefits, and organizational development.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and control all Human Resources activities in Cody, Wyoming

  • Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified job applicants for non-exempt and exempt openings

  • Collaborate with managers to understand skills and competencies required for open positions
  • Work with legal on employment agreements and communication to employees

  • Manage the onboarding process for all new hires

  • Analyze compensation and monitor performance evaluation programs, revising as necessary

  • Develop, recommend, and implement Company policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Employee Handbook
  • Work with the benefits broker and administer benefits programs such as medical, dental, vision, and life insurance

  • Manage all leave of absence requests

  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices

  • Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws
  • Proven ability to recruit and hire for various positions

  • Demonstrated ability to drive HR processes and to deliver high quality services in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven track record of managing sensitive information in a mature and professional manner

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Dynamic team player with the ability to collaborate with team members, employees, and managers

  • Strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work independently and navigate complex and uncertain environments

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related field required

3+ years of progressive HR experience

2+ years of experience in Employee Relations

Position Type and Expected Hours:

Full-Time Position

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
