Job Description

A UX Researcher is responsible for bringing this mission to life by discovering insights, identifying key opportunities, and help build empathy for the needs and behaviors of students and educators, leading to innovate design solutions. The ideal candidate has expertise with conducting and synthesizing qualitative research projects. She/He will thrive in a dynamic work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication.

Over the course of 10 weeks, you’ll have the experience of working with UX Designers,Product Owners,Product Managers,and Engineers to gather user insights that help design magic moments into our products that delight educators and students because they are usable, accessible, and intuitively solve their problems. You’ll be influencing designs that could be used in thousands of classrooms around the world.

Responsibilities:

· With close assistance from experienced UX Researchers, you’ll be involved in user research efforts with product management, designers and engineering team members in the innovation, execution, and delivery of products and services, using a customer-focused, iterative design process.

· You’ll recommend and conduct appropriate research methodologies for generating needed insights at all phases of the product lifecycle. Research methodologies used may include in-person moderated testing, moderated testing, unmoderated testing, surveys, heuristic reviews, benchmark studies and ethnographies.

· You’ll create high quality deliverables based on UX goals and priorities with guidance and direction.

· You’ll leverage, foster and extend the use of established UX techniques, templates, presentations, and assets in the creation of UX analysis, solutions, and materials.

· You’ll be encouraged to share your knowledge and bring fresh ideas and processes to the UX Research team based on your recent education and experience. We want to learn from you!

Qualifications

· Working toward a Bachelors or Master’s Degree in the study of Human-Computer Interactions, Anthropology, Social Science, Design Research, Psychology, or related field

· A research portfolio demonstrating craft and solving problems (can be class projects)

· A curious mindset and a passion for the field of digital products

· Studying and looking to apply UX methodology and lifecycle across key channels and platforms.

· Self-motivated, mature, and possessing good communication skills
