Description:

The communication specialist provides support to communication programs, initiatives, campaigns and media channels that align with corporate communication priorities. These activities advise, educate, and influence a range of target audiences including the company's clients, prospects, key influencers, the field, employees and other partners.- Contribute to the implementation of communication programs, initiatives, campaigns and media channels that align with and support corporate communication priorities to drive business outcomes by producing desired outcomes among target audiences.- Collaborate with business partners in need of communication guidance or support. Based on these consultations, implement communication plans that support or drive desired business outcomes.- Execute aspects of communication programs with particular emphasis on writing key messages, supporting documents (news releases, FAQs, copy concepts, etc.), news articles, collateral, etc.Assists with the planning and delivery of effective coordinated communication solutions.- Engage with communication teams (may include communication consultants or specialists, creative resources, freelancer or external consultants, etc.) to help implement communication solutions including range of traditional and non-traditional venues, media, channels and tactics.Collaborate with communication consultants to assure understanding of business partner priorities and tight alignment and coordination of communication department support to business partners.- Compile data to measure the efficiency of communication support and/or return on communication investment.- Identify and connect collaborations across teams and clients, as In contrast to the Sr. Communication Specialist, the Communication Specialist is assigned to less complex programs, initiatives, campaigns or media channels that are already established with limited degree of planning complexity and scope and limited interactions with business partners outside the communication department. Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, public relations, marketing or social sciences. At least 1 year of progressive experience in professional communication, public relations, organizational communication, marketing, training or related communication field. Strong business and communication writing skills and ability to forge effective one-to-one interpersonal relationships. Good listening skills. Proven decision-making and problem-solving skills.- Prefer knowledge of social media applications.

Must haves:

3-5 years of experience, strong writing (both strategic and technical preferred); Ability to work independently; Ability to turn work around quickly and adapt; Ability to work within a complex team and collaborate with multiple business partners as needed.

Nice to haves:

Empathy; Sense of humor; Ability to hold one's own in meetings and report out to larger team; Experience in financial services/technical writing
