Business Analyst

Our client is seeking an experienced, high-energy business analyst for projects within the Department of Administrative Services - Information Management Services Division portfolio. Primary project assignment will include the selection, contract negotiation, and implementation of budgeting software.

• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
• Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
• Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective.
• Familiar with industry standards, current and emerging technologies, and business process mapping, and reengineering.
• Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.
• Develops RFPs. Business Analyst/Consultant capabilities with 8 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Independently, performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

• Excellent communication skills including experience presenting to Executive Leadership.
• Ability to develop and document effective business requirements with traceability to test cases.
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities as required by the position.

• 5+ years - Experience as a Business Analyst
• 4 years - Knowledge of Finance practices and Systems with focus on budgeting. This includes global ledger, fixed assets, cash, accounts receivable, billing & accounts payable modules.
• Understanding of business and process mapping (Lean, value stream process mapping)
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, IT or Accounting or equivalent working experience

• 2 Year of previous government experience
• Six Sigma, Lean or equivalent certification
• Prior experience with Jira software
• Prior experience with Lawson or CloudSuite Financials
