About the role:As a Senior Software Engineer you could work with bleeding edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications.

About the team:

The Open Payment Platform allows banks to manage payments from origination through instruction management to execution across their enterprise. Our payment solutions based on the Open Payment Framework include modules for Domestic payments (ACH and RTGS), International payments, SEPA, Immediate Payments, Remittance, Imaged Check Processing, EBPP, eBanking and more.

What you will be doing:
  • Designing, programming, debugging and modifying software enhancements.
  • Interacting with product managers and users to define requirements and modifications.
  • Participating in software design meetings to determine technical requirements.
  • Working with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams.
  • Working on FinTech projects for the biggest bank in the world;
  • Working with the latest payment solutions (PSD2, SWIFT, SEPA, SEPA Instant);
  • Analyzing requirements and translating business requirements into designs;
  • Developing program logic for new applications or analyzing and modifying logic;
  • Coding, testing, debugging and documenting software applications;
  • Ensuring that system improvements are successfully implemented;
  • Writing technical specifications and other forms of documentation; and
  • May provide leadership and/or guidance to other technical professionals

What you will need:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, and/or work experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years of applications development experience is required.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of Java (JDK 1.8/1.7), JEE, Maven, Hibernate, EJB 3.1, MQ, SQL, REST, XML, XSD and JSON.
  • Experience with continuous integration - Jenkins, unit tests, integration tests, selenium-based tests is required.
  • Must have Experience in building Micro-services
  • Very good knowledge of Application Servers (WebSphere, WebLogic or JBoss) is vital.
  • Must have very good knowledge of Oracle database;
  • Ability to work in a Linux environment with scripting is required
  • Knowledge of Linux environment is required
  • Excellent problem-solving, team-working and time management skills; and very good command of English is necessary.
  • Experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles and standards.
  • Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations and operations.
  • Fluency in sequence diagrams, class models, etc.
  • Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines.

Added bonus if you have:
  • Knowledge of Kafka is preferred;
  • Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes environment is preferred
  • Payment expertise e.g. SEPA, SWIFT MT is highly desired.
