Finish Carpenter

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability To Read and Interpret Blueprints and Other Layouts

Measure, Cut and Install Various Fixtures and Woodwork:

o Run Base and Shoe

o Case Windows and Doors

o Hang/Install Doors – Single, Double, Pocket, Etc.

o Hang Cabinets

o Handrail Installation/Stair Work

o Other Finishes

Accurately Measure and Cut Timber to the Correct Size and Shape

Ensure a Snug Fit and Smooth Transition in Joints; Trim and Sand Surfaces as Needed

Wire and Wood Shelving Installation

Install Hardware – Ie. Hinges, Handles, Door Stops, Drawer Pulls, Etc.

Verify Quality of Materials and Quantity of Materials – Order as Needed

Verify Work Completed to Ensure Quality End Product

Able To Collaborate and Coordinate with Other Trades

REQUIREMENTS

Exceptional Written and Verbal Communication

Critical Thinking/Problem Solving

Basic Math Skills

Ability To Use Basic and Intermediate Hand Tools and Power Tools

Able To Work Effectively as Part of a Team

Abie To Stand for Long Periods of Time

Able To Safely Lift/Carry Up To 50lbs As Needed

Valid Driver’s License (preferred)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

General Construction Knowledge

Finish Carpentry

Rough Carpentry – preferred (not required)
