Part-Time General Manager - Sales + Marketing

I’m looking for a part time general manager to help me grow a new local business called Quotebook. To be considered you must be organized, trustworthy, grasp both in-person sales and digital marketing sales, and make decisions with little oversight to drive the business forward.

The ideal person for this role is a mom or dad with young children and a marketing background who is looking for a flexible and meaningful way to get back into the workforce!

This is a part time, contract position with base plus incentive compensation

-You must have at least 2+ years experience in marketing, sales or PR or management

-You must have extreme attention to detail, be able to project manage yourself and others.

-You must have a passion for relationships, family and be a genuinely positive person

-If you have a passion for digital marketing, selling into retail, and social selling this is role for you.

-This position is fully remote, but preference will be given to candidates who live in and around the Madison area.

Tasks and Responsibilities

-Increase sales of the Quotebook product through retail, social media/influencers, platforms like Etsy, gift lists, affiliate partnerships or other means

-Own product and marketing strategies

-Assist with the creation of new business documents and reporting materials

-Create and update business process documents

-Track and communicate progress to the Founder

Knowledge and Skills

-Ability to sell both in person and online

-Ability to create a marketing plan and execute the plan in service of sales growth objectives

-High level of experience with Google Apps

-High level of knowledge and practice of social media platforms

-Knowledge of Trello, Asana or other project management tools

-Capability to set up new systems and processes in order to streamline business functions

-Ability to solve task problems with little or no guidance

Education and Experience

-You must have at least 2+ years experience in marketing, sales or PR or management

-Exceptional ability to communicate progress on projects

-Highly organized and efficient

-Trustworthy and strong personal integrity

-Forward thinker who can proactively handle situations and head off problems for the team

-Flexible work schedule

-Top notch communication - email and phone - internal and external

-Proven ability to prioritize tasks

-Super attention to detail

-Since this is a virtual position, must be a self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal oversight

-Must be comfortable developing and working in a virtual relationship, and having limited amount of face-time
