Optometric Technician

Isthmus Eye Care is a private eye care group with offices in Middleton and Madison. Our clinics provide patients with eye health and vision care for the entire family - infants through seniors. We are looking for a friendly and bright individual to join our Middleton team.

The Optometric Technician assists patients as they go through various stages of their eye examination. Specific job responsibilities include:

- Gather medical history information

- Administer tests to determine visual capabilities of the patient including but not limited to visual acuity, confrontation fields, pupils, tonometry, and angle estimation

- Ability to scribe exam findings as verbalized by the doctor in exam room

- Perform additional testing as needed including fundus photography, topography, pachymetry, OCT, and visual field testing

- Conclude the patient exam and execute handoff to optical team

Experience in optometry or other medical fields is preferred. Must have computer knowledge, and familiarity with an electronic health record is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess:
