Our client is looking for a highly motivated and capable Project Management Office Coordinator who will assist in supporting customer needs and various cross functional projects for the College. The Project Management Office Coordinator supports the Project Management Office (PMO) and other TS functional areas with the operations of the PMP and projects that are delivered through the PMO as well as other functional areas of the College as needed or directed. The PMO Coordinator has primary responsibility for the project intake process, maintenance of PMO templates, maintenance and configuration of PMO business systems such as Microsoft Project Online (or similar), scheduling and tactical planning and conducting of routine PMO-related meetings, and other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides information/research to PMO Director (and/or other leaders as directed) regarding team capacity including proposed assignment of project managers and business analysts to projects within TS.
  • Works within the PMO team to assist PMO project managers and business analysts with established processes and procedures.
  • Maintains project management business systems such as Microsoft Project, Project Web Access, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and similar.
  • Under the direction of the PMO Director (and/or other leaders as directed), supports project and portfolio governance processes, standards and templates.
  • Supports use of project and portfolio management tools.
  • Performs initial project request and project analysis.
  • Ensures project documentation is up to date and maintained in the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system or repositories according to standards.
  • Assists with capturing and documenting project lessons learned to benefit the development and implementation of future projects for the college.
  • Generates reports for analysis of project metrics and KPIs.

This position will be a remote position due to COVID-19 but when the college opens back up the consultant may be required to be on site Location: Madison, WIContract: 3-4 Months

Skills Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in field of study with Business, Project Management and at least 5 years of work experience
  • Collaboration, team building and communications/follow-through skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project and portfolio management lifecycle/methodology and frameworks (waterfall and agile)
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Experience with project management software, business systems, office productivity systems, ERP systems
  • Specific, verifiable experience with the following software is necessary:
  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft Project Web Access
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • PowerBI
  • Planning, coordinating and implementing project components/activities.
  • Meeting facilitation
  • Excellent conceptual, problem solving, and analytical skills, and ability to work independently or as a member of a team on complex tasks.
  • Demonstrated competency in documenting solutions for both technical and functional audiences.
