We are looking for a climate finance expert with knowledge of the corporate environment who can help us tap into the full power of Salesforce for the benefit of our planet. The right candidate will be a passionate, driven, expert on climate change, climate finance, and carbon markets. Their responsibility will be to play a leading role in defining and executing Salesforce’s blended capital approach to scaling climate solutions, with a focus on meeting Salesforce’s carbon credit needs.Equality is a core value at Salesforce. Be Salesforce’s subject matter expert on climate finance, and carbon market trends

Manage the carbon credit procurement life cycle from purchase/funding through ongoing monitoring and reporting, including inputs and decisions from internal energy transition and nature based solutions teams, as well as external partners and consultants

Lead the development of new climate solutions funding models that maximize impact, while minimizing cost and risk (such as advanced market commitments, carbon credit forward purchases agreements, debt/equity, participation in funds, etc.)

Advise on the product roadmap and inventory management strategy for the Net Zero Cloud marketplace

Represent Salesforce’s climate finance work with customers, and at key internal and external events

About you (skills & experience):You’re a passionate, driven, climate change expert

You’re an expert on the overall process for developing and financing carbon projects

You’re extremely organized, and comfortable executing multiple large complex projects with matrixed teams

You have a strong understanding of the key commercial terms in climate finance/carbon credit contracts, and experience negotiating them in developed and developing nations

You’re familiar with the ways public companies interact with global financial markets, and how those interactions contribute to climate change
