Top Skills & Years of Experience: Self-starter with 10 years BA experience. 5 years’ experience with Agile methodologies and leading testing activities. 5 years’ experience working with business and technical staff from multiple areas.

Nice to have skills: Jira or similar ticketing software experience to manage tasks

The client seeks to hire a Business Analyst/Consultant IV in support of the Injured Patient and Family Compensation Fund IT project to replace the legacy in-house system with a new vendor hosted application. This is a large complex project and application where critical functionality needs to be implemented by May of 2022 with additional changes, and post-implementation work to follow. The project will implement the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration software including Claim’s functionality, Oracle Customer Experience/Portal, Oracle Communication Cloud/Correspondence, and Document management. There will also be integrations with other systems. This position will report to the OCI Technology Services Section Chief and will work with subject matter experts (SME’s) to collect and manage requirements, translate needs between business SME’s and technical teams, assist with conversion validation, and organize and lead acceptance testing.

The most qualified candidate will have:
  • Business analysis experience utilizing agile concepts.
  • Proven experience eliciting business requirements and working with development teams to turn the business need into technical solution.
  • Experience defining acceptance criteria and leading testing activities to ensure deliverables meet the business need.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating work with vendor staff, business SMEs, and technical staff from multiple areas.
  • Self-initiative to identify and drive the tasks that need to be done (there will not be a lead BA).

This position will be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Requirement’s elicitation: facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team-members to gather and understand requirements.
  • Requirement’s analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large stories into features and user stories that can be understood by the development team.
  • Requirement’s documentation: Translate features and functions into documented items for development teams.
  • Creating acceptance criteria to express requirements. Ensures test and validation plans are complete.
  • Organize and lead acceptance testing including facilitating testing of vendor delivered changes.
  • Primary liaison between product managers and development team. Communicates scope changes to development teams
  • Fill the role as Product Owner in Scrum teams
  • Lead grooming exercises.
  • Accountable for sprint readiness and delivery.
