Position Title: Assembly/Fabrication

Wage: $16.00- $19.00/hour

Shift: 1st or 3rd

Hours: 6:45am – 5:45pm or 10:30pm – 6:30am

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Fabricate parts running brake presses, band saws, punch presses, etc.

- Lay out, position, align and secure parts

- Recognize, set up, and operate hand/power tools common to the fabricating trade

- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications

- Monitor fabricating processes

- Determine required equipment and fabricating methods

- Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks and other identifying marks

- Position and secure work pieces using hoists, cranes, etc.

- Package material

- Help load and unload trucks

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or GED

- Previous fabrication/assembly experience is a plus

- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos

- Able to write simple correspondence

- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume

- Able to read blueprints
