Job Title: Inside Sales Engineer, Marsh Instruments

Marsh Bellofram Group based in Newell, WV, just outside of the Pittsburgh, PA Metro area consists of multiple industry leading brands focused on industrial control and measurement. We are experiencing strong growth and need to expand our team. Products include gas pressure regulators, gauges, high precision pneumatic controls, engineered rubber and silicone components, critical space motor protection and industrial process timing instruments. Our customers are in a wide array of markets such as energy, manufacturing, water treatment, utilities, aerospace and defense.

Position Function:

Inside Sales and management of internal resources and lead times for instrument group. Provides product support and insight to the customer, as well as sales and customer service teams. Acts as a liaison between sales/customer service, production/shipping team, engineering and the customer. Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of instrumentation products from Newell to customers.

Responsibilities: To include but not limited to the following

Product:

  • Maintain excellent working knowledge of mechanical pressure and temperature instruments and related applications
  • Work with VP Sales/Product Manager/Customers to ensure required lead times are being met
  • Manage new product/sample approval process/testing to provide approval/feedback in 2-3 days upon sample receipt
  • Review and monitor production schedule to ensure customer needs are met
  • Review and monitor product usage for increases/spikes, work with purchasing/production to adjust inventory accordingly
  • Review and monitor product in inspection to expedite to shelf
  • Review past dues weekly to ensure consistent lead times, recommend alternates or expedite to reduce long lead times
  • Manage/expedite new part number setup
  • Manage new dials and dial proof approvals with engineering/sales.
  • Manage internal processes with production for internal builds/ modifications to reduce lead times

Inside Sales/Customer Service:

  • Handle issue resolution, escalated customer service issues
  • Handle product quotations
  • Work with engineering/customers to perform competitive crossovers/project quotes
  • Manage quotation system in cloud drive or other system
  • Review all customer service questions pertaining to gauges, provide direction and contact customers as needed
  • Handle order entry issues with customer service, part number discrepancies, questions, etc.
  • Review and waive minimums/fees as needed
  • Eliminate red tape/delays
  • Enter orders as needed
  • Check all backorders for alternate products/substitutions, contact customers to suggest alternates

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Engineering or other technical degree preferred but not required with equivalent industry experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of instrumentation products and applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use a keyboard and PC proficiently.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Very positive and highly energetic.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an office/manufacturing environment with substantial amount of contact with employees and customers.

Travel Requirements:

  • There are no specific travel requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Majority of the time is spent sitting. Moderate amount of time spent standing and walking. Requires manual dexterity, normal vision, speaking, and hearing abilities.
