SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

This individual will assist with current marketing initiatives for City National Bank, a 90+ branch bank headquartered in Charleston, WV. The marketing intern will have a hand in multiple projects designed to assist with customer engagement and develop marketing strategies for the 2020s.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with customer insight and engagement through projects such as researching a specific group of customers to identify demographics and behavioral patterns, then develop marketing strategies based on these findings

• Research and provide perspective on social media use and opportunities

• Curate content, write and edit communications, such as a company newsletter and press releases

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Undergraduate level student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (with a preference in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications or related studies)

• Ability to work in the Charleston, WV area

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, up to 20 hours per week

• Work is generally performed at the Cross Lanes Operations Center in environmentally controlled conditions

• Typically, the employee may sit to perform the work. However, there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of the work

CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE:

• Ability to work independently

• Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word
