Job Description
Responsible for handling insurance claims. Plans and schedules work needed to process claim, interviews claimant and witnesses, and investigates claims.
Primary ResponsibilitiesInvestigate and process insurance claimsformultiplecompanies,insuranceproviders, and states.
Provide reports and work with accounting toreconcileopen claims with vendor invoices.
Work with drivers, and claimants to gather statements, pictures, video, and otherpertinent information.
Timely process and close claims.
Process variety of claimsinvolvingcommercial trucking accidentsincludingliability, property andcasualtyclaims.
Work with vendors to inspect and provideestimates and getting repairs completed.
Verify that coverage applies through an insurance policy.
Evaluate damages to ascertain compensation amount.
Obtain policy reports and file collision reports withmultiplestates.
Examine photographs and statements.
Listen to or watch audio or video surveillance.
Record data and statements in report.
Evaluate all information to determine how claim should be handled.
Negotiate with claimant to settle claim.
Work with attorneysin litigation.
Track and file claims regarding equipment damage.
Issue payout amounts.
Qualifications
At least2years of auto claimsexperience(preferably in commercial trucking)
Proactive self-starter; must be able to work independently
Positive attitude, assertive, effective, and professional
Dedicated; must possess good work ethics
Ability to multi-task and adjust to current business needs daily
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have moderate to advance proficiency with Microsoft Suite
At least2years oftruckingindustryor similar experience
4-year college education preferred
Valid driver'slicense;
