Essential functions include, but are not limited to: processing surgical instruments and equipment (disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, sterilization, and maintenance); maintaining inventory; ensuring a clean and sanitary operating room environment; and assisting with patient transport. The incumbent must be able to lift and carry up to [Weight] pounds, push and pull equipment weighing up to [Weight] pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements. The ability to follow detailed instructions, maintain attention to detail, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team is essential. Adherence to Standard Precautions and all safety protocols is required.QualificationsJob Requirements:One year of related work experience in an acute care hospital that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.Post-high school training specific to healthcare (i.e., central processing, health care assistant) preferred.Work experience in perioperative or as a military medic/corpsman is preferred.Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.
