ABOUT US

At Home AFHs are three residential homes with no more than 6 residents at each home. Residents and caregivers are loved and cared for when at our homes. We employ kind, hardworking team members who support each other in their job - we aren't just a team, but a family. We strive to keep work schedules consistent, provide support whenever needed, and reward hardworking caregivers. Each and every caregiver is included when discussing how we can provide optimal care for our residents; your opinion matters!

We have a 60 day initial evaluation with possibilities of pay increase - we want to reward hardworking, detailed, and reliable caregivers.

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

Our established Adult Family Homes are in search of an experienced and compassionate Caregiver who understands the importance of meeting the needs of clients while helping them maintain a high quality of life. We are looking for a committed individual who has good communication skills and is able to problem solve on the spot. Our Caregivers have a reputation for being cheerful and receptive as they administer care to our clients, and we are seeking someone who would be a great fit with our team.

TASKS

Assist clients with personal care, including dressing, mobility, administering medication, personal hygiene, and eating

Monitor patient medications and update health charts

Maintain open communication between management, families, and health care professionals regarding client's medical and emotional condition

Document and report any changes in client's health status

Ensure highest client safety and well-being

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

-Current NAC or HCA (preferred)

-First Aid/CPR certification (required shortly after hire)

-TB Test upon hire

-Food Handlers (required shortly after hire)

-Dementia Specialty Training (required shortly after hire)

-Nurse Delegation (required shortly after hire)

-Experience working with the elderly (preferred)

We are willing to hire non-credentialed caregivers if they are a good fit. We pay for HCA training and certification. Certification has to be completed within 120 days of hire

AVAILABLE SHIFTS

-DAY Shift (7am-3pm) - Part-time

-EVENING Shift (3pm-11pm) - Full-time and Part-time

-NOC Shift (11pm-7a) - Part-time

PAY: $16.00-$18.00/hour (this includes reliability bonus)
