PRIMARY PURPOSE: As a Customer Service Rep (internally known as a Fixed Site Recruitment Coordinator (FRC)), you will have the opportunity to be the front-line hero to patients by scheduling present and past donors to make their next vital contribution to the community. In addition, this role will be a support to the Leadership and National team. Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for achieving goals for recruiting current, lapsed and potential donors, and scheduling them to donate at a fixed site location. Responsible for recruiting donors for special needs requests, such as HLA matched platelets.

LOCATION: this position will work in-office at 210 W Cataldo Ave, Spokane WA.

SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri, day shift, 40 hours per week; eligible for the full benefits package!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations. Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.

Enhancing the donor experience by providing excellent customer service while inspiring donors to realize their life-transforming potential.

Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the Vitalant attendance policy.

May be assigned to specialized calling projects, such as special reds, matched platelet requests, plasma, first time platelet donors, conversion and reminder calling.

To enhance the productivity of our donor centers, team members will utilize focus days as provided by their supervisor or manager to ensure that critical need days are filled appropriately with single, double, and triple platelet donors.

Using (awe) mazing multi-tasking skills while supporting numerous blood centers within Vitalant, a FRC will use their innovative messaging to recruit, schedule appointments, and sustain our platelet donors though advanced eligibility and donor center/product knowledge.

Serves as an ambassador for the fixed site recruitment team, exhibiting a positive presence while cultivating a culture that encourages mentorship, teamwork, leadership, and innovation.

A resource for the Leadership donor center team to utilize as a backup in the need of support or to serve as a champion for special projects A FRC may also be crossed trained to handle donor eligibility questions and donor relation specialist duties including managing donor flow, rebooking donors, and on-site conversions to automation at our donor centers.

Participates as requested in onboarding of new hires and refresher training of current staff. They will be able to offer insight by providing feedback, guidance, resources, positive reinforcements, and mentorship, etc.

Maintains consistent achievement of assigned department metrics.

Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.

Knowledge/EducationHigh school graduate or GED required

ExperienceMinimum six months experience in customer service or outreach environment required.Two years customer service experience preferred.Proficient computer skills required.

Proven ability to effectively communicate and achieve metrics utilizing the phone as the primary communication toolAbility to work autonomously and productively to meet and exceed goals while multi-tasking, focusing on details and adapting to a changing environment.Ability to work in a repetitive role that majority of time is spent on the phone.Must possess a positive attitude that encourages teamwork.Must be able to assist and provide guidance to new hires.Any added experiences that are required from the assigned department.
