Dental Hygienist - Flexible days!

Division Street Dental is looking to hire an amazing hygienist to join our team 1-4 days a week. Available days: Mondays - Thursdays - you choose! We are a small, single-doctor practice located in Mount Vernon. We work largely with the older population (65+) and staff routinely comments on how our patients are some of the nicest they've worked with. Bring your passion for dentistry and become a part of our family.

Interested but only want short term? Apply! We have one hygienist out from injury right now, so short term help is also needed.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain up to date patient health history

- Thorough dental cleanings including prophies, perio maintenance, and scaling and root planning.

- Take digital xrays

- Patient education re: the importance of good oral health

- We have a part-time sterilization assistant, however we are all happy to help run instruments or clean our operatories as needed. We are a team!

- Maintaining thorough chart notes of all treatment rendered and findings from doctor exam

- Smoothly handing off patient to front desk with clear communication of the patient’s next visit needs

Requirements:

- Excellent communication with both patients and team members

- Comfort and confidence with perio maintenance of 4-6mm pockets and 2mm generalized recession

- Friendly and warm demeanor

- Good time management skills

- Valid WA RDH license

- Current CPR, HIPPA and WISHA training

- Familiarity with Dentrix and Dexis strongly preferred
