- The initial assignment for this position will be to take over leading an in-flight project being delivered for our Store Development business organization, and to conduct a second phase project pertaining to a Recycling Application for use in our retail stores. The in-flight project builds on pilot work to, “ Expand technology to support 4PL program for Store Dev.” “4PL” refers to fourth party logistics providers who provide value-added services related to construction materials and store equipment into the sites of new stores as they are being constructed.
- Purpose of this team: Corporate technology
- Reason for the request: Supplement additional workload on team
- Understanding of ST project management practices.
- Expert-level knowledge of standards and practices for ST project and program lifecycle management activities and deliverables.
- Clear understanding of project technical activities, including: (1) solution analysis and design; (2) enterprise, solution, and infrastructure architecture; (3) systems integration; (4) data conversion and migration; (5) environment management and build processes; and (6) deployment planning and execution.
- Expertise in MS Project.
- Advanced skills in the MS Office Product Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a project manager in IT or a software development setting; must have at least five years overall experience working in IT or a software development setting.
- Enterprise system implementation experience.
- Experience herding business cats (lots of business stakeholders who will have probably insufficient bandwidth to adequately participate in the effort).
- Experience working with Finance professionals (they can be pretty persnickety).
- Poise and experience conducting executive-level steerco meetings.
- Experience using Agile methods and working on complex, integrated platforms required.
- Leads by example and builds teams with a confident and positive attitude, patience, honesty and integrity, and a strong sense of commitment.
- Has the ability to know what is possible and what is not, and to know how to navigate project engagements efficiently and effectively.
