Immediate opening for a PT to FT Shipping/Receiving Specialist to assist in the growth of our Company.
We are a well-established, small business (30+ years in business) with a solid backlog providing Electronic Component Testing and other Electronic Value-Added Services to high caliber customers in the Space, Defense, Medical, and Commercial Electronic Industries. We are currently looking for a talented Shipping/Receiving Specialist with previous experience in a shipping/receiving environment. As a Shipping Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of our products. The perfect candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to multitask. Impeccable attendance is a must as this position is driven by customer deadlines. Experience with inventory management is a huge plus!
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Inspect and package products for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling, adhering to established protocols to prevent damage or delays.
Verify the accuracy of shipping information, including addresses, product quantities, and delivery instructions
Accurately handle receiving duties, verify materials and update records.
Maintain inventory in accordance with company policies, to include proper labeling, storage, handling, and packaging. Ensure accurate inventory counts by performing regular cycle counts.
Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and recommend improvement initiatives to management team.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
1+ years of shipping experience. Inventory experience a plus!
Experience using Microsoft office products and shipping software.
Strong communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to carefully handle very small electronic components using tweezers. Requires steady hands and good vision.
Must be clean, organized, and able to work in a team environment as well as work independently with little supervision.
THIS POSITION IS PART-TIME - DAY SHIFT (working towards Full-Time)
MON-THUR FROM 8am-4:30pm
