Landscape Construction Foreman

Landscape Construction Foreman - Must have 2 years Commercial Landscaping Management experience to apply.

At JH Landscaping & Irrigation, LLC the Landscape Construction Foreman is responsible for coordinating and supervising field work performed by leads and laborers at Commercial projects in the Seattle and surrounding area. You will report to the Superintendent and work directly with the office Project Manager and other Construction Project Managers to ensure projects are completed safely, properly and on time. This is a hands on position. You will also be physically working on projects.

Responsibilities

· Directly supervises the Leads on site.

· Develops and maintains working relationships with the General Contractors Project Managers, Project Engineers and Site Superintendents.

· Work closely with General Contractor to resolve field issues and/or Change Orders.

· Proactively identifies and makes recommendations to Superintendent regarding the project you are responsible for.

· Manage receipt of deliveries scheduled by the Owner or office Project Manager.

· Notifies the Superintendent of any Laborers who need coaching and or replacement.

· Monitor and continually update project schedule.

· Prepares punch lists and ensures completion of all related work prior to inspections and product acceptance.

· Distributes schedule updates to the office Project Manager at bi-weekly meetings.

· Maintain a consistent sense of urgency to ensure tasks are finished accordingly.

· Ensures Laborers attend weekly safety meetings conducted by the General Contractor at the job site.

· Help with installs on projects

Education and/or Experience

· 2 years Commercial Landscaping Management experience (Lead, Foreman or Superintendent)

· Must live in WA state

Basic Skills

· Bi-lingual a plus but not mandatory. Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.

· Timely – show up on time and ensure jobs are completed on time.

· Communication - be able to communicate with laborers in order to make sure they understand how to do their job in addition to being able to communicate with the General Contractor in order to follow their instructions and or update them on needs.

· Problem Solver – solve problems in real time or ask management for help.

· Reliability – show up on time, every day.

· Proactive – see issues as they arise and notify management in order to fix problems before or as they arise.
