Maintenance Technician – Ampersand Fitness (Downtown Seattle)

Location: 504 9th Ave, Seattle, WA 98104

Position Type: Part-Time (with potential to grow into full-time)

Pay Range: $20–$25/hour DOE (+Membership Commissions)

Schedule: Flexible hours; early mornings and evenings preferred

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to help keep our facility operating at its best.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily facility walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and equipment functionality

Handle basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, etc.)

Maintain and repair gym equipment as needed

Assist with preventative maintenance and vendor coordination

Support event setups, installations, and small improvement projects

Monitor and restock maintenance supplies

Communicate issues or needs promptly to management

Qualifications:

Proven experience in maintenance, facilities, or a similar role

Basic knowledge of tools, mechanical systems, and repair practices

Ability to troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs

Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks safely
