We are looking for a skilled baker in a full-time position

We are looking for a baker in a full-time position to work alongside a growing bakery team! If you want to learn, advance and have a career with a rapidly expanding business, this could be the right place for you!

You will work under and support the head baker and be required to produce a range of in-house artisan breads and pastries in a fast-paced high-quality production environment.

Responsibilities

Executing viennoiserie like croissants, baguettes and tarts with new opportunities to create and innovate

Ensuring the highest standards of food quality are maintained

Mixing and preparation of raw ingredients for all types of doughs

Baking and usage of ovens and finalizing all bakery and pastry products

Cleaning and maintaining all workspaces and equipment

Maintain a positive, respectful and safe team environment

Ability to keep a tight schedule and work in a fast-paced environment

Work to and maintain correct OHS standards

Able when needed to work in both bread and pastry areas of the bakery

Maintain a professional, productive and positive team environment

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong bread skills

1-2years’ experience producing artisan breads and pastries

Able to operate modern baking equipment (dividers/retarder proofers/sheeter/dough breaks)

A willingness to support other team members in learning the craft including new staff and apprentices

Comfortable with manual heavy lifting when required (up to 50lbs)

Must have full availability and be comfortable to work weekends and weekdays

A trade culinary school certificate or diploma

A good understanding of laminating doughs and other pastries would be a plus/or the willingness to learn

Valid food handler card
