Kitchen Manager

St Barnabas Episcopal Church is looking for a Kitchen Manager. As part of our outreach to the wider community, St Barnabas offers our professional kitchen to caterers, private chefs and other food service providers at reduced rates. We are looking for someone who is caring and compassionate, has good people, organizational and mechanical skills and is an excellent team player. Approximately 10 hours/week with flexible schedule and salary DOE starting at $20 an hour. Principal duties as follows:

- Maintain Commercial Kitchen Equipment. This includes weekly checking and cleaning of equipment, a monthly deep cleaning of the equipment, scheduling service calls, conferring with technicians, and being on site if possible for these scheduled service calls or repairs.

- Provide tours of kitchen and equipment to prospective users.

- Complete rental agreements; train new users on all equipment, health department requirements and opening and closing the kitchen; monitor health department licensing and inspection and assist with any user issues.

- Order all kitchen supplies and parish kitchen supplies.

- Liaison with outside caterers. This includes scheduling all caterer usage of the commercial kitchen on a shared public google calendar, and will include interfacing with administration staff for scheduling of events that will take place in the fellowship hall.
