The Nurse Educator will work DAY SHIFTS, FULL-TIME, 40 hours per week. The Nurse Educator will provide a perianesthesia nursing education with the center being standardization of processes, supporting staff education/practices on up-to-date evidence based ASPAN guidelines.Why work for us?

This individual must exemplify outstanding leadership skills, teamwork, and be able to communicate in a collaborative way.
Educator will be responsible for ensuring the unit provides nursing care according to UW Medicine standards and expectations.
Collaborates with Nurse Manager, RN3s, and Clinical Nurse Specialist to plan, facilitate, and deliver education of perianesthesia health care team. This includes participation with the Northwest Perianesthesia Consortium and support of orientees.
Participates in the generation, application and/or dissemination of research and evidence-based practice.
Provides leadership when applying research to practice innovations.
Promotes the use of nationally accepted clinical practice guidelines and standards. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Current license, three years of professional nursing experience, PACU, PreOp, ICU or ER experience, equivalent education/experience Leadership experience preferred.
