Job Details

The ideal candidate thrives in team settings, enjoys pair programming, and focuses on delivering value. Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain data-driven web applications.
Mentor members of the development team on internal and external frameworks, software development best practices, and new technologies.
Be able to gather requirements and plan actionable tasks for the team.
Collaborate with Forge's product, design, information security and business team members.
Design, build and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
Develop concise, articulate and detailed documentation
Support healthy system operations and ensure high levels of availability are achieved. Be part of the on-call rotation during business hours.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent years of working experience in the field.
5-8+ years of software engineering experience.
Experience with full-stack development Ruby-on-Rails or Node/Typescript
Experience developing multi-tier web applications using modern techniques.
Proven track-record of teamwork and delivery
Must be open to a hybrid work environment from our Seattle, Denver, and Portland offices post COVID restrictions
Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time in an office setting while working

Nice to have:

Experience developing in React is a plus
Experience with Event-Driven architectures a big plus
Fintech or Financial services industry experience
Experience with multiple programming languages
Experience mentoring junior software engineers
Experience at high-growth, venture-backed startups
Working knowledge of the private market
Working knowledge of financial regulators and their concerns
