The convergence of Communications and Information Technology at PNNL recognizes that as the world moves increasingly online, the laboratory must be increasingly savvy in how we engage our stakeholders and audiences through digital channels.ResponsibilitiesAs an Agile Project/Backlog Manager you are responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, prioritization of a team’s backlog including the completion of internal strategic initiatives ensuring consistency with laboratory strategy, commitments, and goals. This position works closely with senior leadership and the Project Management Office (PMO) Director to ensure successful execution of these strategic initiatives in support of research. Specifically,Have ability to drive and influence Agile project management methodology and practices.

Have demonstrated ability to organize and facilitate daily scrum ceremonies, stand-ups, sprint and release planning and demos, and conduct retrospective meetings.

Have ability to build, lead and motivate cohesive teams having goals of increased productivity and continuous improvement.

Possess demonstrated passion for Scrum, Kanban, Lean Thinking, etc.

Strong user story develop skills

Develop work estimates and resource allocations using agile techniques.

Drive and track interdependencies across work streams, communicate status and maintain team metrics.

Assess project risks and develop contingency plans.

Identify and resolve bottlenecks and provide escalation management.

Strong stakeholder engagement skills

QualificationsMinimum Qualificatons:Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience or

Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience

Four or more years of experience relevant to project management and depth of knowledge in science and/or methods needed to deliver project. Graduate of PMDP; PMP certification, or demonstrated equivalent (knowledge competency criteria) encouraged.

Preferred Qualifications:Three (3) years of experience with Agile techniques such as User Stories, backlog management, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing, etc.

PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

Two (2) years of experience serving in a ScrumMaster role, Certified ScrumMaster a plus
