The P-8 Poseidon Program is looking for a highly motivated first level Mission Systems Software Integration and Test Manager (Level K) to lead the Mission Systems Software Integration and Test team in Kent, WA.

The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) P-8 Poseidon program is the premier Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) platform for the US Navy and several international customers. Our program is anticipated to continue to be a stable program with a solid future. The Mission Systems Software Integration and Test team consists of approximately 20 engineers who are responsible for hardware and software integration of new mission capabilities and formal testing and qualification of software products.

By joining us as the new Software Integration and Test Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead a world class team of engineers that will shape the future of P-8 Mission Systems and deliver quality products that get used around the globe.

Position Responsilbites:
  • Manages employees performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
  • Travel may be required up to 5% of the time; domestically depending on business needs.

This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 5+ years combined software development, integration & test experience and/or mission systems experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion.
  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with agile software development practices, preferably trained in SAFe.
  • Familiarity with Jira.
  • 5 or more years of experience working with Hardware/Software Integration and/or Software Laboratory Test.
