Software Developer in Test SDET - Video Games

At Experis Game Solutions, we partner with developers and publishers of video games on all platforms to improve testing coverage using the latest technology. We are looking for a Software Developer in Test (SDET) who has a high bar for code quality and a passion for clean and scalable design of test frameworks, test automation, and associated tools. If you are constantly challenging yourself and others to come up with great solutions, have a passion for learning new skills, have a knack for picking up new technologies quickly, and are excited about making a big impact in the game industry, we are looking for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support automation strategies that guide development teams to maximize testability of games and efficiency of test efforts in relation to tools.
  • Support test frameworks and toolsets that impacts studio development, quality, deployment, and operations productivity.
  • Working in C# to create frameworks for testing different technologies/platforms (Services, Web, Mobile, Desktop, Console, etc )
  • Support testing methodologies and tools, software testing standards, methods and conventions, build systems, and the product development cycle.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
  • 2+ years in a Software Development Engineer in Test role.
  • 2+ years participated in focused Quality Assurance efforts.
  • 5+ years' experience programming in C#
  • Experience testing compatibility across browsers, mobile devices, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in devising and executing test solutions for game services and technical features, especially with regards to load, performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Game development experience demonstrable across 1-2 product lifecycles.
  • Experience working on large scale, commercial online game services.
  • Experience with large scale services, distributed systems, cloud computing, and databases.
  • Experience working in a Kanban, Agile, Scrum and/or Test Driven Development environment.
  • API testing experience with tools
  • Adding scripts to website automation frameworks
