ICF Is recruiting for a Security Architect to support a current USDA project. Our services focus on enabling agency mission and business transformation using industry leading low-code platforms, mobile applications, robotics process automation and data analytics platforms. The programs will have a focus on offering a full range of architecture and planning, system implementation, integration, analytics and O&M for our customers. As a Security Architect to support our federal application modernization projects in developing security standards, architectural analysis and establishing single sign-on using Login.gov and similar capabilities . This role can be in a remote location anywhere in the continental US. Responsibilities to include, but not be limited to; Develop security standards and architectural analysis, determining security impact of new systems and technologies, and performing vulnerability scans and interpreting findings.

Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies like Login.gov and SAML.

Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization and security to ensure security best practices are integrated in the application development cycle.

Support coordination with the agency cybersecurity team, support root cause analysis of existing systems/technologies vulnerabilities to discern potential consolidation and/or modernization needs.

Integrate vulnerability scanning into the CI/CD process, support remediation efforts for issues identified in the scan.

Use AWS security models including data protection, threat detection, compliance, and data privacy to architect applications that minimize security threats and use cloud native technologies.

Develop knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions for the agency applications.

Present security solutions to the Product Owner(s) and IT PM.

Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices and procedures for projects/solutions

Required Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field is required

10+ years’ experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance, and reliability

Strong awareness of AWS security models. This AWS awareness includes data protection, threat detection, compliance, and data privacy.

Knowledge of Agile project management practices.

Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies

Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures

Knowledge of GitHub Enterprise and release processes

Extensive knowledge of Application Architecture, Network, and Release Process
