Preference for Chicago IL, NJ/NY, Phoenix AZ, Austin TX.What you’ll be doingAs a DMR Specialist Partner Account Manager (PAM), you’ll be responsible for the strategy and growth of our top tier Direct Market Resellers (DMRs) in the US. You’ll be a part of a high performing DMR team charged with building mindshare and adoption of Tableau across Tableau’s most strategic partners. Responsibilities include engaging with leadership, partner managers, and sales teams across both sides of the partner divides to grow our partnership with the DMRs to new levels and exceed sales objectives. Day to day activities prioritized around developing strategy, building demand generation plays, networking partner leadership, and representing Tableau onsite at partner HQs.This role should demonstrate a business background that enables engagement at the CXO level, as well as a sales background that leads to interactions with customers and sales/field reps. This role is a quota-carrying sales position that plays an integral role in the success of the overall direct and Enterprise sales team. Experience with DMR partners strongly preferred.Some of the things you’ll be doing include …Develop strategic business plans with DMR partners and align goals and objectives consistent with corporate strategy. Align sales, marketing, and services activities against these goals.

Create strategic relationships with senior decision makers within our key partners and ensure they are mapped to Tableau management

Increase partner driven sales for Tableau by establishing alignment between Tableau Enterprise Sales team and the partner organization by designing and running activities such as: Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), joint account mapping, joint pipeline review and forecast, solution definition and alignment.

Work effectively across organization to drive strategic partner initiatives and partner enablement; report results to key internal stakeholders including Marketing, Sales Teams, Product Teams and Executives.

Lead engagement in the field with Tableau Account Executives and partner organization.

Work with marketing to set budgets, drive programs, and events for our DMR partners

Continually learn about new products and improve selling skills

Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and product

Support sales activities webcasts, roadshows, contract negotiations.

Who you areExperienced. At least 5 years with a demonstrated track record of success working with Direct Market Resellers (DMRs), and/or Value Added Reseller (VAR) Partners.

Agile Problem Solver. Ruthlessly seeking out inefficiencies and areas for improvement and championing solutions that improve the user experience of both parter and Tableau teams.

Tech Forward. Constantly looking for ways to automate processes and remove bottlenecks via creative technology solutions.

Amazing Salesperson. Proven experience as a channel thought leader who can take ownership and responsibility within a fast moving and growing team. Demonstrated negotiation and business development skills; ability to drive negotiations with key stakeholders.

Builder. Strong networking, business development, influencing skills that translates into building commitment and driving actions across organizational boundaries.

Cross-Cultural Leadership. Good at influencing others, both externally and internally; ability to work effectively and build consensus across various functional groups to achieve goals. Effective in a dynamic environment, comfortable with environments lacking full definition, willing to take risks.

Results-oriented. A demonstrated track record as a top performer throughout his or her career. Has worked at quality companies known for effective, best-practices channel organizations.
