Duties
Sand, inspect, tape, and otherwise prepare wood and other material for painting or other finishing operations
Properly identify, handle, and package end product
Read paperwork and account for materials
Review material and product requirements
Obtain specified paint or other coating material and appropriate spray gun
Check operation and make preliminary adjustments or repairs to paint gun
Activate paint and/or stain according to supplier recommendation
Maintain work area and all machines/equipment in safe and effective working order giving special attention to proper handling and storage of all chemicals within the area
Clean and maintain paint booth accordingly to approved maintenance schedule
Notify owners of unusual equipment or operating issues
Keep work areas clean and safe
Assure all waste products are properly disposed of which may consist of collecting for disposal by professional hauler
Assist or perform other duties involved in general facility maintenance
Comply with company policies and procedures for employee safety and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
Key Requirements
Ability to lift 60+ pounds; physical strength and stamina
Attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills
Visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception, and field of vision
Dexterity of hand and fingers
3 years of painting experience recommended
Staining experience preferred but not required
