We pride ourselves on employing those with a passion for the optical product space, and we're looking for our next Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join the team.

What You Will Be Doing

- Design optical systems and optical test equipment- Use test data to troubleshoot and verify issues with hardware

- Contribute to the design of free-space laser power transfer and power-over-fiber products for a variety of applications.

- Apply photonics and optics knowledge to a laser power system

- Perform validation testing, including environmental qualification, performance characterization, reliability, and lot acceptance testing

- Help build out optical engineering team as we grow

What You Need for this Position

REQUIRED- M.S. in Physics, Optics or related field

- 3+ years of hands-on experience working in an industrial lab

- Experience in relevant computing programming: MATLAB or C

- Optical modeling software: FRED or Zemax

- Experience building custom optical assemblies

- Experience with optical test equipment: interferometers, laser sources, power meters

HIGHLY DESIRED

- Ph.D

- 5+ years of combined hands-on experience post graduate AND industrial lab experience

- Experience dealing with thermal issues in high-powered optical systems

- Direct experience with concentrated photovoltaics
