About Us:
Alexei Ford Design Build is a small, uniquely creative, design-build firm based in Bellingham Washington. We focus on residential remodeling, and new construction projects. We take on all different kinds of projects and are especially sought out for creative and non-traditional projects that require skill and problem solving from all of our team. We work collaboratively as a team, and you will be working alongside other talented individuals during your work week. We work Monday through Thursday, so Friday is a day that we hope you can use for rest and relaxation in the beautiful PNW.
AFDB is currently looking for a highly skilled painter to work primarily on residential projects ranging from kitchen and bath remodels to outdoor decks and siding, to custom cabinets and trim work, and maybe some metal fabrication projects as well. Some of our projects are high-end remodels where detail, awareness, and quality of work and interactions with the client are important. We are looking for a skilled painter with previous experience in the construction industry that has excellent communication, and organizational skills.
Skills and assets that we are looking for in an ideal applicant:
-Excellent communication and organization skills
-Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of proper paint preparation practices
-Experience with all construction tools is a plus
-Basic paint tools (brushes and rollers for different products) that you will maintain and clean
-Basic tools that he/she can bring to work
-Comfortable communicating with clients, contractors, suppliers, and staff
-Trustworthy, dependable and punctual
-Able to work well individually, or with a team
-Ambitious and self-motivated
-Excited to learn new skills
-Detail oriented and take pride in your craft
-Able to carry 75 lbs.
-Able to use hand and power tools while on ladder/scaffolding
-Able to work in all weather conditions
-Pay attention to, and have knowledge of safety and preparedness procedures
-Maintain a professional appearance
-Have a valid driver's license and a reliable work vehicle
Compensation:
Competitive pay - $24.00-$36.00 DOE

6 paid holidays (after 90 days)
Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:30-5:00 (36 hour work week)
Flexibility with appointments, recreation, or family obligations.
