Solution Architect – Cloud Consulting (Azure/AWS)United StatesNewInformation Technology7 hours agoPost Date22200218Requisition #Apply for JobShare this JobSign Up for Job AlertsAs aSolution Architect – Cloud Consulting, your tasks may vary day-to-day but primarily will focus on pre-sales engineering, customer presentations, implementations, migrations, operation automation, technical optimization/configuration, and support operations. The Solution Architect is someone who is able to adapt seamlessly to the organization and the customers we serve, is technically savvy, and must enjoy learning new technologies!Location:Remote with some travel requirement.Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in pre-sales calls, lead technology discussions and whiteboarding sessions

Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment

Develop deep relationships with key customer IT decision makers, who drive long-term cloud adoption within their company to enable them to be cloud advocates

Maintain technical skills and knowledge of market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the technical community

Understand customers overall applications portfolio, IT and business priorities and success measures to design implementation architectures and solutions

Apply technical knowledge and customer insights to create a modernization roadmap. Architect solutions to meet business and IT needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments, while orchestrating key resources and infusing key Infrastructure technologies Windows and Linux IaaS, Security, Networking, etc.), and DevOps technologies (containers, serverless, cloud native, etc.) as appropriate

Manage and develop estimates for customer implementations, schedules (timeline), and overall planning

Creation of thorough specifications, plans, and activities to ensure successful customer implementations or migrations

Lead/oversee customer implementations and migrations

Drive to change and constantly improve the service that is delivered to the customer with minimum disruption

Hands-on experience with typical project and system/customer support: planning, coordinating, hardware selection, software selection, and use, customer education and support, vendor liaison, troubleshooting, problem resolution, product evaluation, and documentation

Ability to work natively in a mixed Windows/Linux environment and can fully comprehend and implement hybrid architectures

Required Skills:Microsoft Certified Azure Solution Architect Expert or equivalent work experience

Minimum 3-7 years of System Administration consultative experience working with multiple clients

Significant experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet or other automation and/or configuration toolsets

Experience in the implementation, management, and administration of Enterprise systems tools and processes

Significant experience one or more of the following programming languages: C, C#, Java, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails, Pig/Hive

Experience with software development practices like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure DevOps, GitHub

Ability to work natively in a mixed Windows/Linux environment and can fully comprehend and implement hybrid architectures

Strong network configuration knowledge (Firewalls, VPN, Routers/Switches, and Load Balancers)

A clear understanding of various network topologies

Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management.

Experience and understanding of large-scale application portfolios in enterprise-wide environments (including migration of on-premise workloads to the cloud).

Experience with scalable architectures using Azure App Service, API management, serverless technologies, container orchestration Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry etc, API management, microservice frameworks etc.

Technically minded and understands a wide range of system platforms

Clear comprehension of the overall IT infrastructure and application stack

Ability to work in a multilingual/cultural environment

Analytical skills to assist in the resolution of complex issues that may be time sensitive

Experience with multiple technologies and design techniques

Excellent oral/written communication and organization skills

Work with all types of people and the ability to communicate with a broad spectrum of individuals

Preferred Skills:Experience working with external vendors and consulting engagements

Experience working with interactive media agencies

Achieved complimentary Microsoft Certifications around cloud-based services

Must be able to work independently and show excellent initiative

Solid understanding of project principles and how to manage the delivery of projects
